We are finallyyyyyyy here!! My van got lost on the way here! (i won't mention names or anything.... *cough cough Kenton Hock and Ian Barns) haha The place we are staying is really neat. Its a house type thing that is part of what was an old church. They want to rip down the church but its so beautiful!! The sactuary (sp?) is ah-mazinggggg. JUMP (the organization we are here with) currently holds church in a little room. Our first day here (today) we have held two church services. The people here are sooooo cool. The christians that we have met so far are just so in love with Jesus, its truly amazing. Today actually me, kenton, andrew, maggie and mitch at a chance to pray for a few homeless people and give them food. it was a cool experience. Later today we are going to a homeless shelter to serve dinner. Harv and Robin (the people that run the organization) are amazing people. we are having a great time and i can already tell that God has amazing plans for us here. OHHHHHH! almost forgot, last night we went to a christian hip hop concert!! It was so awesomeeee. I got a free t-shirt cuz (aparently) i got swag! haha
(oh and we walk everywhre... its pretty fun!) This is going to be a awesomeeeee missions trip! i can already tell. Its funny to listen to the people make comments about seeing white people when we walk down the street.. mostly all the people here are imagrants from puerto rico and africa and mexico and stuff... its awesome. They have such a sence of community here!!

Hi mom and dad and dani and nick! i love you!!

Church Services Sunday Morning :)

Our first morning here we had two church services to run! Our first service was at a hospital. A few of us gave testimonies, we lead worship, and prayed for anyone that wanted to be prayed for (basically everyone). It was amazing! There were people there that not only needed prayer for healing but other things as well. Whether they needed prayer for family members, spouses, or anything else we were ready to help! It was very emotional and touching because they were so sincere. Then we cleaned up and walked over to the second service that we lead. This service was at the church we are staying at. We had worship first (which I missed because Jordyn Wenger pulled off part my mole and I had to go get a band aid haha), then testimonies and prayer. During prayer I met this man named Junior. He was incrediable. He stands on this parking lot everyday with a hole bunch of other men and wait for someone to come get them and give them a job. Some days he has a job, but most days he doesn't get picked because he is mentally retarded. After I prayed for him he told me that he loved me and we talked for a little while longer. I am truly amazed that he has such a strong faith while he is barely making enough money. Tonight the plan is to have a cook out for whoever wants to come! I'M EXCITED!!! AHH!
